摘要
温妮弗蕾德·伊顿的《紫藤之恋》作为20世纪初通俗小说,从罗曼司体裁、叙事元素到最终呈现均定位准确。作为美国华裔混血女性作品,该作品体现了作者对少数族裔女性处境和消费主义思潮的观察和体悟。马克思主义阐释学坚持文本的语境化,挖掘形式和内容运动的潜在推动力,通过文本的政治无意识把握压抑和掩埋了的历史欲望,《紫藤之恋》因此具有了宏观和微观相结合的解读意义,以"异己"姿态呈现出不同于一般浪漫爱情故事的历史格局,为美国少数族裔发声提供了新形式。
The Wooing of Wistaria by Winnifred Eaton,a popular novel in the early twentieth century,has an accurate positioning as written in the genre of romance,with its narrative elements and final presentation.As the work of a Chinese American of mixed blood,it reflects the author’s observation on and understanding of the circumstances in which ethnic minority women find themselves and the trends of consumerism.Marxist hermeneutics insist on the contexualisation of texts,excavating the potential driving force of the movement for form and contents and trying to get a hold on the suppressed and buried historical desire through the political unconsciousness of the text.For this reason,The Wooing of Wistaria has acquired a combined microscopic and macroscopic reading significance,presenting a historical pattern as an‘Other’that is different from ordinary romantic love stories and providing the ethnic minority voices in America with new forms.
