A Novel Fiber Optic Sensor for Dynamically Monitoring of Weight

摘要 为了实现车辆质量实时、动态、准确地监测,利用弹簧隔振器、塑料光纤及钢板构建了一种新型的质量实时监测光纤传感器。车辆质量信息采用光纤螺旋区域进行感知,隔振器通过螺丝对称地安装在高强度、高韧性钢板的4个角落,螺旋光纤传感器固定在钢板的中心位置。实验研究了光纤螺旋圈数、光纤直径及车辆行驶速度对光纤传感器测量结果产生的影响,以及传感器受车辆碾压后输出信号随时间的变化关系。研究发现,当传感器光纤直径为2 mm,传感器螺旋间距为20 mm,传感器螺旋圈数为3圈,车辆质量为1143~3279 kg,车速为5~130 km/h时,传感器输出信号与质量间具有线性关系,最大相对误差为9.2%。 In order to realize the real-time,dynamic and accurate monitoring of vehicle weight,a new type of real-time weight monitoring optical fiber sensor composed of the spring isolators,plastic optical fibers and steel plates was developed.The vehicle weight information was sensed by the optical fiber spiral area.The vibration isolator was symmetrically installed on the four corners of the high-strength and high-toughness steel plate by screws,and the spiral optical fiber was fixed at the center of the steel plate.The influences of the number of fiber helix,fiber diameter and vehicle speed on the measurement results of the fiber sensor were studied experimentally,and the relationship of the output signal of the sensor with time after being crushed by the vehicle was also studied.It was found that when the fiber diameter of the sensor was2 mm,the spiral pitch of the sensor was 20 mm,the spiral number of the sensor was 3,the vehicle weight was 1143~3279 kg,and the vehicle speed was 5~130 km/h,a linear relationship between the sensor output signal and weight was obtained,and the maximum relative error was 9.2%.
