洪洞广胜寺下寺善财童子五十三参壁画图像考

On the Mural Paintings of Fifty-three Visits by Sudhana in Guangsheng Temple of Hongdong

洪洞广胜寺下寺大雄宝殿善财童子五十三参壁画绘于元代,是目前山西发现最早的善财童子五十三参壁画。壁画于民国初年被贩卖于美国,殿内现仅存九幅残块,摆放在大殿左侧架子上。壁画整体色彩丰富,线条流畅,人物形象生动活泼,尤其是在善财童子的形象刻画上,是研究早期善财童子五十三壁画及华严经变图像珍贵的实物资料。

In the Guangsheng Lower Temple of Hong Dong county, the murals of fifty-three visits by Sudhana were painted in the Yuan Dynasty. It is the earliest painting of this kind found in Shanxi. The murals were sold to the United States in the early years of the Republic of China. There are only nine pieces left in the temple, placed on the left shelf in the main hall. The murals are rich in color, smooth in lines, and the characters are vivid and lively, especially in the image portrayal of Sudhana. These murals are valuable materials for studying the murals of fifty-three visits by Sudhana and the Flower Garland Sutra.
