Luoluo Yiyu is a series of Yi-Han bilingual lexical collections compiled during the reign of Emperor Qianlong(1735-1795)in the Qing Dynasty. The Palace Museum Library now has five collections, with one labeled as Dongchuanfushu.Originally stored in the Office of Military Secrets,it was a transcript of the one collected around Huize County,Yunnan Province under the supervision of Yunnan's Provincial Governor.Compared with the other four collections, this one stands out with its non-equivalence between the Yi and phonetic Chinese characters, which is related to the compiling process and also reflects the differences between oral and written Yi language in the Qing Dynasty. Moreover, based on the Yi-Han phonetic correspondence and features of Chinese dialects, the compiler may be a Kunminger, instead of the widely acknowledged local Huizer.
