Eco-translation of Yi Heroic Epic Alu Jure Based on the Interpretation of its Ecological Thought

《阿鲁举热》是一部独具特色的反映彝族先民社会生活和精神特质的英雄史诗,蕴含着彝族"万物中心、尊重自然、平等互爱"的生态观,属于生态有益语篇。《阿鲁举热》的翻译可以生态翻译学的"三维转换"理论为指导,运用文化、语言、交际三维的史诗英译策略,通过保留原文修辞语言、替代原文文化意象、重现原文对自然的情感态度等方式,凸显和再现彝族的生态观,使译文具有较高的生态价值,也有益于将彝族文化宣传到译语读者中。

Alu Jure is a unique heroic epic reflecting the social life and spiritual characteristics of the Yi nationality.It contains Yi’s ecological thought such as“ecology centered,respect for nature,equality and mutual love between man and nature”,and can be regraded as an ecologically beneficial discourse.Guided by the“three-dimensional transformation”theory of ecotranslatology,this article explores the translation strategies of the epic from the dimensions of culture,language,and communication.Strategies such as retaining the original rhetorical language,replacing the original cultural imagery,and representing the original emotional attitude towards nature can be used to convey the ecological thought of the Yi epic,which should be beneficial to introduce the Yi culture to the outside world.
