摘要
The past 50 years have witnessed an explosion of allergic disease world wide.The tendency to develop such diseases is complex and multifactorial.Exposure to allergens,environmental insults,toxins,infectious agents including viruses,altered and changing lifestyles related to urban and suburban as opposed to rural residence.Factors including birth order,antibiotic usage,child care,schools and vaccinations and immunizations have been under consideration as part of the"Hygiene Hypothesis"as explanation for the surge of allergic diseases as non communicable disease.
