Two kinds of solutions are used to etch respectively WC and Co in cemented carbide substrates. This roughed highly the surface of cemented carbide. Meanwhile it can restrain the negative influence of cobalt in cemented carbide substrates during diamond deposition. And further more, this improved the quality and adhesion of diamond coatings.
