摘要
《中日释疑》(1867-1870)是英国人在香港创办的旨在向西方介绍中国的一份比较纯正的英文汉学刊物。其办刊宗旨明确,汉学选材内容丰富,兼具奇异性与实用性,契合读者兴趣与需求;巧用编辑手段并注重读者、作者与编者的互动。撰稿群体的权威性和稿源的开放性、刊物的严肃性以及成熟的营销策略是《中日释疑》成功传播汉学的主要原因,对当下中国文化“走出去”国家战略的推进及相关刊物的运营仍然具有重要的启示意义与借鉴价值。
Notes and Queries:on China and Japan(1867—1870)was founded by the British in Hong Kong to introduce China to the west.With a clear purpose as well as rich content of Sinological material selection,it has both novelty and practicability and it adapts to the needs of readers.The authority of the contributors,the openness of the sources,the seriousness of the publication and the mature marketing measures are the main reasons for the successful dissemination of Sinology by the magazine,which still shed important enlightenment on the national strategy of“Chinese Culture going out”and the operation of the corresponding journals.
