环境污染和经济增长的关系——基于中国环境库兹涅茨曲线的实证分析

Relationship Between Environmental Pollution and Economic Growth——An Empirical Analysis Based on China’s Environmental Kuznets Curve

选取2005-2018年30个省市的面板数据,建立多元线性面板数据计量模型,探究中国环境污染与经济增长之间的环境库兹涅茨曲线。回归结果表明:中国环境污染并没有呈现随着经济的增长先上升后减少的“倒U”形状,而是呈“正U”形状;工业化水平对环境污染的影响并不显著;城镇化水平对我国的环境有明显的消极影响;政府的规章制度对我国的环境治理具有重要意义。回归的结果说明中国并不存在标准的环境库兹涅茨曲线,在处理经济发展和环境治理关系时,我国无法重复当年发达资本主义国家经历的“先污染,后治理”的传统发展模式。

Based on the panel data of 30 provinces from 2005 to 2018,a multivariate linear panel data model is specified to explore the China’s environmental Kuznets curve:the relationship between environmental pollution and economic growth.The regression results show that the environmental pollution in China does not show the“inverted U”shape which rises first and then decreases with the economic growth,but shows a“positive U”shape;The impact of industrialization level on environmental pollution is not significant;The level of urbanization has a significant negative impact on the environment of our country;And the rules and regulations of the government are of great significance to the environmental control in China.The results of regression show that there is no standard environmental Kuznets curve in China.When dealing with the relationship between economic development and environmental governance,China can not repeat the traditional development model:“pollution first and then control”,which is experienced by developed capitalist countries in the past.
