摘要
"不外(乎)"经历了一个从短语到动词,从动词到限定副词,再从限定副词到语气副词的演化过程。在这一过程中,它展示了动词支配宾语、副词限定数量及性质、语气副词强调主观情态等功能。其中,类推是其语法功能演变的主要机制,而自信力则是其主观情态功能凸显的深层次动因。
At present,the understanding of buwai(hu)(不外(乎))is still at the verb stage,which is far from enough.In fact,it has undergone a process from phrase to verb,from verb to finite adverb,and then from finite adverb to modal adverb.In this process,it shows the functions of verb dominating object,adverb limiting quantity and nature,and mood adverb emphasizing subjective modality.And in this process,analogy is the main mechanism of its grammatical function evolution,and self-confidence is the deep motivation of its subjective modal function.
