《论语》“君子”文化之“怀德”“怀刑”内涵分析及现实启示

摘要 《论语》作为儒家思想的经典著作,蕴含了丰富的中国传统文化基因,其"君子"文化凭借着深厚且富有活力的特质,为中华儿女所重视。《论语》中"君子"一词,既注重道德修养,又重视阶级地位。以《论语》"君子怀德,小人怀土;君子怀刑,小人怀惠"为基础,依据中国古代文学、古典文献学专业知识,查阅古籍,解读其内在涵义。"君子"是孔子的理想化人格,内在有道德性,有仁爱之心,外在表现行为规范,以礼待人。《论语》"君子"文化为我们提供了做人做事的示范,为现代人丰富精神世界、提高道德修养提供了优质素材。 "Where gentlemen set their hearts upon moral force, the commoners set theirs upon the soil. Where gentlemen think only of punishments, the commoners think only of exemptions." This paper is intended to discuss the semantic implications of the quotation by comparison of personal pursuit and principles observed by gentlemen and commoners or small men. Gentleman culture is regarded as ideal personality by Confucius, with moral, goodness, law and exemptions or amnesties as distinctive demarcations.
