外语慕课平台自适应性评价指标验证研究 被引量:6

摘要 个性化学习是技术与教育深度融合在高级阶段的表现形式,被许多专家认为是改善学习的经典解决方案。外语慕课由于高辍学率和低完成率一直饱受诟病,为了改善这一现状,必须提高外语慕课平台的自适应性,满足学生的个性化学习需求。因此,为了帮助英语教师识别自适应性学习的关键因子,从而更加有效地设计自适应性外语慕课,文章在已有研究的基础上,从外语学习者的角度对已有外语慕课平台的自适应性进行评价,构建了外语慕课平台的自适应性评价指标。希望本研究能为外语慕课的健康持续发展提供启示。 Personalized learning is a manifestation of the deep integration of technology and education at the advanced stage and is considered a classic solution to improve learning.Foreign language MOOCs have been criticized for their high dropout rate and low completion rate.These criticisms mainly focus on the teaching design of MOOC and the adaptability of MOOC platform.Therefore,we need to strengthen the research on the adaptability of MOOC platform so as to stimulate participants’ learning enthusiasm and increase the completion rate of MOOC.The researches on adaptive learning are relatively advanced in the United States,South Korea and Japan,involving basic theoretical research,system design and development,application practice,and so on.The research of adaptive learning in China,which started relatively late, dwelled more on theoretical studies than empirical studies, most of which focused on the field of telecommunication technology and computer, but few in the field of education, indicating that the implementation of adaptive learning technology in the field of education is not well in place and cannot meet the requirements of personalized learning services for learners.In view of the fact above,this paper intends to combine adaptive learning technology with MOOC platform to optimize learners’ personalized experience.Based on a literature review of previous research,this paper preliminarily obtains six indicators that have a significant impact on the construction of foreign language MOOC s adaptive platform.A questionnaire based on the above 6 indicators is designed with values assigned according to Likert Scale.The research objects are from UMOOCs,the first international MOOCs platform of foreign languages in China.A total of 700 questionnaires were distributed and 625 valid questionnaires were collected,including 325 males(52%) and 300 females(48%),a majority of whom were between 18 and 30 years old.Based on the questionnaire survey,the thesis first explores the possible relationship between the six indicators,then analyzes the dimensions of the basic adaptive M 0 0 C s,uses C ronbach’s a to test the internal consistency,and finally analyzes the influence of the factors of participants’ MOOC s learning experience on the adaptive M 0 0 C s.According to the research,there are two most important advantages of adaptive MOOCs for participants——self-regulated learning and achievement of different learning goals according to the level of participants.Besides,participants without previous experience of MOOCs pay more attention to the basic adaptive design of MOOC courses.Based on the research,the author proposes that future research should also consider the impact of foreign language MOOCs adaptive indicators on participants’ satisfaction,MOOCs learning and dropout rate.Research needs to be done with differentiated application of adaptive indicators proposed in this study,especially through the three options of adaptive action:free choice of participants,system recommendation for participants and automatic selection of the system.It is believed that in the future,with strong support of adaptive learning platform,personalized learning will become a reality.
