According to the current situation of English extracurricular reading,this paper analyzes the causes of students'lack of motivation in English extracurricular reading from the perspective of students'needs.In order to meet students'reading needs,improve students'English reading ability and improve students'English reading literacy,this paper puts forward the extracurricular reading teaching strategies of guiding reading,stimulating interest,lighting reading,process leading,promoting reading,achievement experience and sharing reading.
