For the petroleum refining and chemical industry,the process materials and equipment of the plant contain all kinds of dangerous energy.If the effective isolation measures are not taken before the inspection and maintenance operation,it is easy to cause all kinds of major accidents.This paper introduces the steps of energy isolation and the management of lock out and tag out,which can effectively control the risk of inspection and maintenance operation,so as to prevent person⁃nel injury or property loss caused by accidental release of energy in the process of inspection and maintenance,and prevent accidents.
