Sergei Dovlatov is one of the most important representatives among the-third-wave Russian immi⁃grant writers.He had been influenced by dramatic art since childhood and had shown obvious dramatic style in his creation.His works drew on a variety of dramatic elements,showing distinct dramatic features whether in the scenes setting,the dialogues,the characterization,or the beginning and the end of the work.That is the rea⁃son why his works are concise,readable,vivid and interesting.
