金阁寺是五台山著名的密宗寺庙,也是国务院确定的汉族地区佛教全国重点寺院。金阁寺现存一尊明代千手观音大铜佛,是我国古代著名的大铜佛像之一。简单介绍了金阁寺与密宗、金阁寺的创建、金阁寺明代千手观音大铜佛及其铸造工艺等,对于了解中国古代的大型艺术铸造有一定的借鉴意义。

Jinge Temple is a famous Tantric temple in Mount Wutai and also a national key Buddhist temple in Han area designated by the State Council.There is a big bronze Thousand-hand Kwan-yin of Ming Dynasty in Jinge Temple,which is also one of the famous big bronze Buddhas in ancient China.This paper briefly introduces the Jinge Temple and the Tantric Sect,the establishment of the Jinge Temple,the big bronze Thousand-hand Kwan-yin of Ming Dynasty in Jinge Temple,as well as its casting technology,etc.,to provide referential value for understanding the large-scale artistic casting in ancient China.
