On the Distinctive Features of “Greatness” for the Century-Old Party

中国共产党是世界上最大的政党,习近平总书记多次指出我们党“大就要有大的样子”。这个“大”绝不仅是数量上的庞大,而是我们党自身建设上的强大。从我们党百年的历史和当今的现实来看,我们党“大的样子”主要体现在:具有为人民谋幸福、为民族谋复兴的坚定不移的“大抱负”;具有实现伟大梦想所需的各个方面的“大本领”;具有为人类作出更大贡献、敢啃“硬骨头”的“大担当”;具有虚心学习、着眼大局的“大胸怀”;具有广大人民群众支持的“大底气”。

The Communist Party of China(CPC) is the largest political party in the world. General secretary Xi Jinping has pointed out many times that our Party must establish its great image. This “greatness” not only means a huge quantity, but also a strong self-construction.The Party’s 100-year history and the present reality shows that her“great image” is reflected in the following aspects: the unswerving “great ambition” to seek happiness for the people and to rejuvenate the nation;the“strong abilities”required to realize our great dream;“daring responsibility” for more contribution to the future of all mankind and to challenge the difficulty;“broad mind” to learn humbly and balance the overall situation;“great confidence” in the support of the overwhelming majority of the people.
