Surgical site infection is one of the common postoperative complications in colorectal cancer patients.As a consequence,the re-admission rate and mortality rate increase year by year,placing a heavy burden to patients,families and medical and health systems.To reduce the incidence of surgical site infection and to improve the quality of life and satisfaction of patients with colorectal cancer,this article elaborates on the definition of surgical site infection,high-risk factors and effective intervention and nursing measures.
