College Education on Spirit of the Modern Era: Status Quo Analysis and Countermeasures

以爱国主义为核心的民族精神和以改革创新为核心的时代精神是社会主义核心价值体系的精髓。高校是时代精神培育的重要基地,是社会主义核心价值观的传播源、辐射源,加强大学生时代精神教育是实现“立德树人”这一教育根本任务的具体表现,对培育引导大学生践行社会主义核心价值观,对中国特色社会主义事业的发展和建设,对实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦具有重要意义。

The national spirit with patriotism as the core and the spirit of the modern era with reform and innovation as the core are the quintessence of the socialist core value system. Strengthening education of college students on the modern era spirit is a concrete step for the fundamental task of “cultivating morality and cultivating people”. Based on the status quo of modern era spirit education for college students, this paper analyzes deficiencies and possible causes, and points out three feasible countermeasures to improve the education. This research is expected to contribute to the education and practice of socialist core values among college students.
