摘要
大卫在《贺拉斯兄弟之誓》中对传统构图原理施加了极大的压力,其根本目的在于表达一种视觉的整体等效性,即使图像自然化,成为一个自足的空间。而在后来创作的《处决自己儿子的布鲁图斯》中,大卫将绘画进一步推向分解构图,使得不和谐与不连续成为绘画创作的基本成分。这表明大卫对涉及政治和情感冲突的主题已经更加得心应手。
David exerted great pressure on the traditional principles of composition,with the aim of expressing a holistic visual equivalence,naturalizing the image and becoming a space of self-consistency.In The Lictors Bearing to Brutus the Bodies of his Sons,David further decomposed the arrangement of the picture,making disharmony and discontinuity the basic elements of creation,which suggested that David was skillful at the themes involving politics and emotional conflicts.
