Preservation and Reuse of American Former Nuclear Test Site in Cold War:A Case of Bikini Atoll

该文关注冷战时期遗留下来的核工业遗产的保护与再利用,这方面的研究在国内还很缺乏。以美苏冷战时期的军备竞赛为切入点,着重对世界文化遗产项目——冷战时期美军在太平洋上的核试验基地比基尼环礁展开研究,深入剖析了其历史背景、遗产价值、现阶段保护策略及其管理机制,从而为我国核工业遗产的保护与再生实践提供借鉴和参考。

In This article we focus on the protection and reuse of the nuclear test site during the Cold War.Related research is still lacking in China.Starting with arms race between the United States and the Soviet Union in Cold War,we focus on one of the world cultural heritage:nuclear test site of the United States on the Pacific Ocean during the Cold War period,the Bikini Atoll.we deeply analyze its historical background,heritage value,current preservation strategies and management mechanism,so as to provide reference to the practice preservation and reuse of China’s nuclear industry heritage.
