Science Fiction,City and Mirror Image:the Imagination of Shanghai in the Future

自开埠以来,上海始终与未来相连并参与有关未来的想象性建构。在中国早期有关上海的科幻叙事中,上海承担起未来中国的寓言,而在西方科幻电影中,上海只能作为衬托西方主体地位的“他者”。可以说,无论是在中国还是西方的科幻叙事中,上海始终是个“故事容器”,未能真正地介入科幻叙事,也没有真正进入到未来想象之中。中国科幻叙事要想摆脱此种困境,立足本土、发展中国特色是当下科幻创作者首要且必须要思考的问题。

Since the opening of the port,Shanghai has never failed to be interwoven with future and involved in the imaginative construction of future.In the early sci-fi narratives about Shanghai in China,Shanghai assumed the fable of future China,while in Western sci-fi films,Shanghai only serves as the“other”.It can be said that Shanghai has always been a“story container”in both Chinese and Western sci-fi narratives,which has not really involved in the sci-fi narrative and has not really entered into the imagination of the future.In order to get rid of this dilemma,it is the primary issue for the current sci-fi creators to take local conditions into considerations and develop Chinese characteristics.
