Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by infection.Although the diagnosis and treatment of sepsis have been improved, its morbidity and mortality remain high.At present, some biomarkers have been used clinically, but they all have their own limitations.miRNA is a single stranded non-coding RNA that functions after gene transcription.Studies have shown that it is widely involved in the pathophysiological process of sepsis. This article summarized the regulation of miRNAs through Toll-like receptors on sepsis at the post-transcriptional level of genes and the value of circulating miRNAs in the diagnosis and prognosis of sepsis.
