Water shortage has always been a key factor restricting the sustainable development of Northwest China.The article analyzes the necessity of water diversion in Northwest China,existing work results,and water diversion proposals,and puts forward suggestions for sustainable development of water resources in Northwest China,which provides a reference for the future optimal allocation of water resources in Western China.
