The Role of Traffic Line Markings in Expressway Traffic Organization and Management

为解决城市交通拥堵问题,提高城市道路的通行能力,交通管理部门积极开展并落实相关的交通管理政策。作为交通系统的基础组成部分,交通标线的设置对城市交通组织具有积极的意义。研究发现,交通标线是交通设计精细化改善的重要手段,与交通标志、路面设施的综合协调应用能够有效治理城市道路拥挤现象。

To solve the traffic congestion and improve the capacity of roads,transportation departments have implemented a series of traffic management policies.As a basic component of the traffic system,traffic line markings have positive significance to release the traffic congestion.To evaluate the impact of traffic line markings on expressway traffic organization and management,this study describes the effects of traffic line markings on expressway traffic organization and management,including scattered interlaced conflict points,the matching of the number of lanes at the junction and the guarantee of main road right.The results show that traffic line markings are important for the improvement of traffic infrastructures.Moreover,integrating with traffic signs and road facilities can effectively release traffic congestion.
