用锡片镶制紫砂陶和瓷器作为装饰,是威海独有的技艺,在英租威海卫时期达到了生产和销售的鼎盛,产品远销世界各地。本文将遗存下来的锡镶产品作为研究对象,从锡镶产生背景、过程以及艺术特色等,不同角度予以阐述,将锡镶工艺在威海的民间发展以及远销国外的信息加以整理,凸显威海锡镶的特性特征,挖掘其在陶瓷工艺品领域历史内涵。

It is a unique skill in Weihai to decorate tea sets made of purple sand pottery or porcelain with tin sheets. During the period of leasing Weihaiwei in the UK, its production and sales reached the peak, and its products were exported to all over the world. This paper takes the preserved tin inlaid vessels from the beginning of last century to the 1940 s as the research object, expounding the background, process and artistic characteristics of tin inlaying technique. This paper deals with the information about the development of tin inlay products in Weihai and the overseas markets, highlights the characteristics of Weihai tin inlay and digs its unique historical connotation in the field of Chinese ceramic handicrafts.
