RUAN Yan’s experience in treating children’s sinusitis

阮岩教授认为儿童鼻渊乃本虚标实之病,其发病与肺脾肝三脏,尤其与肺脾两脏功能失调密切相关,其主要病因病机是脾气虚弱、肺气虚寒、脾胃湿热、胆腑郁热;故治疗之法首重固护脾胃,脾胃健则痰饮自除。此外配合特色岭南药材及外治法、膳食调养,临床获效颇佳。

Professor RUAN Yan believes that children’s sinusitis is a disease of deficiency in origin and excess in superficislity.Its incidence is closely related to the dysfunction of the lung,spleen and liver,especially the dysfunction of lung and spleen.The main etiology and pathogenesis are deficiency of the spleen qi,deficiency of the lung qi,dampness and heat of the spleen and stomach,and heat of the gallbladder.Therefore,the first method of the treatment is the to protect the spleen and stomach,then it can remove phlegm.In addition,with the characteristic Lingnan medicinal materials,external treatment,and diet care,the clinical effect is quite good.
