Objective To explore the effect of problem-based learning(PBL)combined with multimedia teaching on the autonomous learning ability of internship students of endocrinology. Methods A total of 100 medical students who were interned in the department of endocrinology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from June 2016 to June 2019 were selected and divided into two groups according to different teaching methods, with 50 cases in each. The control group implemented the traditional multimedia teaching mode, and the study group implemented the PBL combined multimedia teaching. The teaching performance and autonomous learning ability of the two groups of students was compared. Results The theoretical knowledge, operational skills, and medical ethics education scores of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The study group independently accessed data, actively studied, solved problems, and integrated knowledge after 1 month of teaching. The scores of autonomous learning ability of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion PBL combined with multimedia teaching can effectively improve the teaching performance of endocrinology interns, and improve their autonomous learning ability, which is worth promoting.
