Intrapartum fetal health surveillance is a screening test for fetal distress,the main purpose of which is to timely identify risk factors affecting fetal health and detect potential fetal decompensation problems.In March 2020,the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada issued the Clinical Practice Guideline-Fetal Health Surveillance:Intrapartum Consensus Guideline,which aims to provide guidance for fetal health surveillance during delivery and maintain the minimum possibility of obstetric medical intervention while reducing the risk of neonatal asphyxia.This article will interpret the classification and implementation principles,surveillance contents and methods,specific implementation and special precautions related to fetal health surveillance,and the treatment of abnormal conditions in this guideline for better application of it for clinical health professionals.
