The Influence of the Rise of the Burma on the Ethnic Groups Distri⁃bution Pattern of Myanmar and Its Surrounding Areas

缅甸骠人王国衰落之后,缅族取代其位置并在缅甸中部地区快速崛起。经过几个时期的发展,缅族不仅实现了在缅甸国内的崛起,并且实现了在东南亚区域内的崛起。缅族的崛起和发展对周边地区产生了多方面影响,其中,对民族分布格局的影响是一个重要的方面。缅族的崛起打破了缅甸国内骠、孟、若开三个族群三足鼎立的状态,形成了缅族一枝独秀的局面;重塑了掸族各地方政权之间的关系,改变了中缅之间的地缘政治环境;阻断了泰族西进的路线,延缓了阿瑜陀耶王国的发展进程。

After the decline of the Pyu Kingdom in Myanmar,the Burma took over and rose rap⁃idly in the central part of Myanmar.After some time of development in different periods,the Burma regime became not just a major power in the country of Myanmar,but also in the whole Southeast Asia.The rise and growth of the Burma influenced the neighboring regions in many ways,one of which is the influence on the political map of various ethnic groups within the country.It subverted the previous tripartite order of rule by the Pyu,the Mon and the Rakhine,and made the Burma the only dominant group.It also reshaped the relationship between various local governments of the Shan,changed the geopolitical environment between China and Myanmar,blocked the westward inroad of Thai,and slowed down the growth of the Ayuttaya Kingdom.
