治安警情公开是公安机关警务公开的基本要求,在打击违法犯罪活动、保障公民警务知情权和维护社会治安秩序方面都发挥着重要的作用。但是,对于治安警情公开的范围一直以来缺乏明确的界定,在实践中对于哪些治安警情该公开,哪些不应公开往往把握不够准确,容易出现公开内容不当、公民个人信息外泄等问题,使公众无法及时获取警情信息,进而激化警民矛盾。因此,进一步明确治安警情公开的范围势在必行,需要通过厘清公开范围、制定公开的法律规范,完善治安警情公开工作。
