先唐人的言子记忆

The Image of Yanzi before the Tang Dynasty

唐代以前的文献中,关于言子个人信息的记载,大略只涉及姓名、籍贯、年龄,以及其作为孔门“文学”科弟子擅长“礼乐之学”及“典籍之学”的特点。这些记载虽然简略,却塑造了言子作为吴地杰出人才、才学之士代表的历史形象,并且在诗文传播中衍生出以“游夏之徒”指代“孔门弟子”及“朋友知己”的文化现象。先唐人的文献记载构建形成了关于言子的最早的文化记忆,后世对于言子本人及其文化影响意义的文字书写,都建立在这个记忆基础之上。

In the literature before the Tang Dynasty,the personal information about Yanzi only involved his name,native place,age,and his characteristics as a disciple of Confucian"literature",who was good at"the study of rites and music"and"the study of classics".Although these records were brief,they shaped the historical image of Yanzi as a representative of outstanding talents and scholars in Wu,and there occurred the cultural phenomenon of using the term"disciples of Ziyou and Zixia"to refer to"Confucius’disciples"and"friends and confidantes"in the dissemination of poetry and prose.The literature records of people before the Tang Dynasty formed the earliest cultural memory about Yanzi,and the writings of later generations on both Yanzi himself and his cultural influence were based on this memory.
