新文科是相对于传统文科而言的,其提出是文科质量革命的时代要求。新文科建设应围绕培养堪当民族复兴大任的德智体美劳全面发展的时代新人,构建展现中国实践、凝练中国经验、体现中国智慧、发出中国声音的文科学派,形成交叉、融合、守正、创新的文科形态三大目标展开探索。应从历史的深度、文化的厚度、哲学的高度、世界的广度、学科的跨度、情怀的浓度、道路的长度等七个维度认知和建设新文科。

Different from the traditional one.New Liberal Arts in the New Era calls for quality revolution in education of this discipline.New Liberal Arts construction should focus on the cultivation of a new generation of well-rounded talent eligible to accomplish the mission of national rejuvenation,showing China's practice and experience,telling China's stories with Chinese wisdom,and exploring the three goals to foster a cross-disciplinary,integrated,innovative and culturally responsible sector.To know and construct New Liberal Arts,we should start from China's history,culture and philosophy,and reach out to the universe,to various disciplines,to human dreams and feelings,and to the future.
