Objective To evaluate the effect of solution-focused nursing on depression after noninvasive delivery. Methods Two hundred uniparas undergoing noninvasive delivery in obstetrics department and diagnosed as depression from May 2018 to May 2019 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group, each of 100,according to a random number table. The control group was given the conventional nursing, while the observation group was provided with the solution-focused nursing. Before and after the intervention, both groups were evaluated using Edinburgh postpartum depression scale(EPDS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),social readjustment rating scale(SRRS)and revised life orientation test(LOT-R).Results After the intervention, the EPDS,SDS,PSQI and SRRS scores of the experimental group were significantly lower than that of the control group(t=7.562,P<0.001;t=7.610,P<0.001;t=8.072,P<0.001;t=29.475,P<0.001),while the LOT-R score of the former was significantly higher than the latter(t=11.434,P<0.001).Conclusion The solution-focused nursing can relieve the negative mood and depression of uniparas with postpartum depression, which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
