By interpreting the hot food safety incident called Dichlorvos-fed sea cucumbers,this article introduces current standards about pesticides and veterinary drugs residues in fishery products in China in detail,and points out the defects that scope of all the standards is too limited to achieve satisfactory effect on food safety regulation.To solve the problems mentioned above,a prospective technique named fast screening method by high resolution mass spectrometry is suggested,which is supposed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of pesticides and veterinary drugs monitoring for fishery products.This article should be valuable for consumers and food inspectors who concern about the pesticides and veterinary drugs residues in fishery products.
