Corrections to Research Materials about Chen Wude and Chen Zibao

陈吾德、陈子褒是新会外海龙溪陈氏达伦堂同宗族人,都是江门侨乡杰出的文化名人。尽管研究二者的论文和论著众多,但是很多都没有正确表述他们的"名"、"字"、"号"、生卒年、籍贯等关键信息,因此亟需用统计、调查、历史文献研究等方法对其进行勘误更正,以还原历史人物形象。

Chen Wude of the Ming Dynasty and Chen Zibao of the Qing Dynasty were from the same Chen clan at Longxi,Waihai Town,Xinhui,and were both outstanding cultural celebrities from Jiangmen region.Although there are many papers and works on them,many of them do not correctly represent their names,styles,courtesy names,birth and death years,and family origin.Therefore,it is urgent to use statistical methods,investigation methods,historical literature research methods to correct the errors in order to restore the image of historical figures.
