Discussion on the Standardization of the Translation of Terms Related to Sanitary Toilets in the Field of Schistosomiasis Prevention and Treatment in Chinese Journals

血吸虫病是严重危害群众身体健康、阻碍经济社会发展的寄生虫病。卫生厕所的建设和管理是落实以传染源控制为主的综合防治策略的重要举措。然而,由于血吸虫病防治领域涉及卫生厕所类型众多,多数中文科技期刊对相关概念的翻译存在不规范、不统一的问题。该文就血吸虫病防治领域有关卫生厕所概念的翻译问题进行分析与探讨,以期促使学界对该类概念的翻译进行规范和统一。

Schistosomiasis is a parasitic disease that seriously endangers people’s health and hinders economic and social development.The construction and management of sanitary toilets is an important measure to implement a comprehensive prevention strategy focusing on the control of the source of infection.However,since the field of schistosomiasis prevention and treatment involves many types of sanitary toilets,most Chinese scientific and technological journals have problems such as non-standard and inconsistent translation of related terms.This paper analyzes and discusses the translation of terms related to sanitary toilets in the field of schistosomiasis prevention and treatment,in order to promote the standardization and unification of the translation of suchterms in the academic circles.
