With the help of the theme advantage,emotional expression advantage,story explanation advantage and information transmission advantage of picture books,improving the quality of preschool education and teaching is the internal requirement of optimizing preschool education mode,improving the effect of preschool education and promoting children to obtain a good healthy growth environment under the development background of the new era.Children's physiological and psychological development characteristics have obvious differences.The understanding and cognitive level of various phenomena in life are closely related to children's growth environment and education quality.In the process of education and teaching,preschool teachers should actively explore ways and methods to adapt to children's physiological and psychological changes,so as to improve the overall quality of preschool education and teaching.Based on this,this paper analyzes the application value of picture books in preschool education and teaching,and discusses the specific application methods of picture books in preschool education and teaching,in order to provide effective reference for the majority of preschool education and teaching workers.
