Shuang Xuetao,a writer born in Northeast China in the 1980s,is famous for his short stories.In multiple angles,he uses a unique first-person narrative technique to describe the people and events in Yanfen Street and various mysterious murder cases in Northeast China.Interwoven with the magic of reality and fiction,Shuang's short stories have shown the decline of the northeastern cities and their factories,the tenacity of the northeastern people,as well as their nostalgia for their hometown and youth.The rapid“popularity”of the new generation of writers in Northeast China,such as Shuang Xuetao,reflects the rethinking of the memory and culture of the declining industrialization period in contemporary China and the rest of the world.
