城市立体交通基础设施下方的弃置区域,是一种经常被忽视的城市空间类型。本文探讨将这些未充分利用的区域转变为有价值的社区资产的更新策略。再利用的过程表明,我们亟需一种"间隙式"策略以克服基础设施尺度和人体尺度之间的割裂状况。本文用多个案例研究呈现,它们具有提升公众关注度以及激发城市人口自发性活动的能力:从借助新的功能和体量来提升空间密度的路径,到清空并改造场地以将自然带回城市的项目。
Wasted areas below elevated infrastructures constitute a recurrent type of neglected urban space.The essay deals with regeneration strategies capable of turning these underutilised areas into valuable community assets.Reuse processes express the need for"inbetween"strategies,in order to overcome the condition of separateness between the infrastructure scale and the human one.Several case studies show the capacity of raising public attention,as well as the spontaneous activation of urban populations:from approaches aimed at densifying the space through new functions and volumes,to projects that empty and remodel the ground,bringing nature back into the city.
