Facing the increasingly fierce international competition,The United States has proposed STEM education as an important measure for national strategic development.STEM education can effectively integrate knowledge and skills from multiple disciplines such as science,technology,engineering and mathematics.It also can greatly promote and innovate the quality of science education in k-12 stage and the scientific literacy of children.This paper elaborates several main viewpoints of STEM education.It is believed that it is a project teaching based on the idea of subject integration and social transformation,and then it has positive significance to improve children’s practical ability,cooperative communication,comprehensive thinking and technological innovation ability.It shows the development trend of education in future.
