在过去,地质人员在从事野外工作时要携带纸质地质图、直尺、铅笔、橡皮擦和GPS来实现定位,这个操作过程繁琐冗长而且精度也不高。为了方便、快速、准确地解决这个问题,通过Android手机和AoRGMap.apk,将电子版地质图导入到手机中,使地质图成为手机GPS的背景图,利用手机导航功能就能快速定位地质人员在地质图的位置。实践证明,一部智能手机就能极大地方便地质人员野外地质调查工作。

In the past, geologists had to carry paper geological maps, rulers, pencils, erasers and GPS to achieve positioning they were in field work. This operation was tedious and lengthy and the accuracy was not high. In order to solve this problem conveniently, quickly and accurately,through Android mobile phone and AoRGMap.apk, the electronic version of the geological map is imported into the mobile phone, so that the geological map becomes the background map of the mobile phone GPS. The navigation function of the mobile phone can quickly locate geologists in the geological map. Practice has proved that a smart phone can greatly facilitate geologists to engage in field work.
