Characteristics of Xinmei No.1,which was the main cultivar of Prunus mume in Kashi region,were introduced.The average fruit weight of Xinmei No.1 was 20 g,the fruit was oval,long stalk,sticky core,purplish red on the surface,white frost,yellow flesh and sweet taste,the content of soluble solid was about 20%,and the edible rate was over 95%.The yield of 4-year-old trees was about 1500 kg,and the price was 30 yuan per kilogram.The cultivation techniques of Xinmei No.1 were introduced,including garden construction,soil,fertilizer and water management,pruning,flower and fruit management,pest control and harvesting.
