[Purpose/Significance]Since the 21st century,the reform of Japan's intelligence system has been unprecedentedly carried out in terms of the intensity,frequency,and scope,and its effectiveness is also very significant.Studying the main content of Japan's intelligence system reform and analyzing the reform measures can sum up experience and improve the rational understanding of Japan's contemporary intelligence system.[Method/Process]This paper sorts out the main course of Japan's intelligence system reform in the 21st century,focuses on its measures to promote intelligence coordination and the integrated operation of the intelligence community,and specifically analyzes the real motivation,policy evolution,path selection,and stage effects of Japan's intelligence system reform.[Result/Conclusion]After several reforms,Japan has now established a relatively comprehensive and coordinated intelligence system and mechanism,which is still being improved and developed.
