The Study on Australian National Identity in Contemporary Australian Fictions in the Perspective of Multiculturalism

20世纪70年代多元文化主义在澳大利亚的推行改变了该国历史上长期以来的文化同质性状况,其身份认同的探讨因而进入了新的阶段。以20世纪70年代作为研究时间起点,以这一时期之后的澳大利亚经典小说作品为研究对象,以小说中的身份认同为研究内容,从美国化危机,移民小说和土著小说三个方面对澳大利亚多元文化背景下身份认同构建进行探讨。随着全球化的深入和少数族裔的发声,澳大利亚身份认同在多元文化背景下呈现出了杂糅的趋势。

The implementation of multiculturalism in Australia in the 1970s marked the change of the long-standing cultural homogeneity in this country.The Australian national identity also experienced the change.This paper,taking the 1970s as the starting point of research,the Australian classic fictions in and after this period as the research objects,and the national identity in the fictions as the research content,discusses the shaping of Australian national identity in the multicultural background from the following three aspects:the crisis of Americanization,immigration fiction and aboriginal fiction.As the development of globalization and the efforts of minorities,the Australian national identity shows a trend of hybridity in multiculturalism.
