COVID-19 exerted great impact on Chinese drama in 2020, but, crisis can be turned into opportunities. In the drama industry, a new era of "drama on the cloud" is opened when dramas are performed online and new commercial activities on the internet are seen, which reflects the determination and responsibilities of the "anti-pandemic through arts" of the drama industry. High definition drama films are developing fast in a "window period". In the aspect of theatrical creation, anti-pandemic themes are the main-stream direction in the year and many quality dramas were produced. Furthermore, drama themed on poverty alleviation is an important way to present for the year when the well-off society is built.
