With colorful manifestation and unique regional characteristics,folk craft in Gansu is of very high appraisal and economic value.Under the influence of modern industry and market economy,great changes have taken place in terms of the living circumstances,production and making,and forms and functions.The very craftis displaying four types of status:recession,transformation,progress and rejuvenation,and arise the prevailing problems such as homogeneity,low added value,lack of brand advantages.While facing the evolutional development of production mode,cultural environment and popular fashion,the industry development of folk art resources has developed into a huge cultural industry chain.The folk craft in Gansu should base itself on the tradition,adhere to quality standards,tolerate new materials and new craftsmanship,and integrate the traditional forms and modern awareness so as to realize the construction and reproduction of new folk craft mechanism and benefit the optimization and adjustment of cultural industry structure in Gansu.
