电子束阴极用LaB_(6)单晶的制备及其应用

Preparation and application of LaB_(6) single crystal for electron beam cathode

六硼化镧(LaB_(6))具有良好的热稳定性和化学稳定性,以及非常低的功函数和蒸发率,是一种性能优异的电子束发射阴极材料.该文对目前国内外LaB_(6)单晶的制备方法以及应用现状进行了介绍,对比分析了LaB_(6)单晶的几种主要制备工艺的优缺点,并报道了作者近期在铝助熔剂法和区域熔炼法制备高质量LaB_(6)单晶方面的研究进展,最后对LaB_(6)单晶阴极的应用前景进行了展望.

Lanthanum hexaboride(LaB_(6))single crystal has great thermal and chemical stability,low work function and evaporation rate,so it is an excellent electron beam emission cathode material.In this paper,the preparation methods and application status of LaB_(6) single crystal at home and abroad are introduced,and several main preparation technologies of LaB_(6) single crystal are compared and analyzed.Our recent research progress in the preparation of high quality LaB_(6) single crystal by aluminum flux method and floating zone method is reported.Finally,the application prospect of LaB_(6) single crystal cathode is prospected.
