《中庸》首句"天命之谓性,率性之谓道,修道之谓教"蕴含着丰富的哲学内涵,但对于首句的诠释,在《中庸》全文中并不多见。理解《中庸》首句的哲学内涵,需要从王阳明心学的视域出发,特别要重视其心学体系中,"心""良知""致良知"及"教化论"等学说。阳明对《中庸》首句做出独特诠释,对后世学者研究《中庸》以及阳明心学思想具有重要的学术意义。

The first sentence of the Chinese classic"The Doctrine of the Mean"—What Heaven has conferred is called the nature;an accordance with this nature is called the path of duty;the regulation of this path is called instruction—contains rich philosophical connotations.But the rest part of the book does not contain much clue to the interpretation of this sentence.To understand its philosophical connotation,Wang Yangming’s Mind Study has offered us a new perspective,especially with his theory of"heart","conscience","manifestation of true knowing"and"educating",which are all components of his Mind Study system.Wang Yangming’s unique interpretation of this sentence is thus of great academic significance to later scholars in their studying of both The Doctrine of the Mean and his Mind Study.
