新疆和平解放是中国共产党历史上的重大事件,对新疆实现民族团结、加强边疆建设、巩固国防具有重大意义。在人民解放战争接近尾声的特殊历史时期,毛泽东审时度势提出了和平解放新疆的政策方针,为和平解放新疆做了大量工作,特别是在新疆积极开展的统一战线工作,对和平解决新疆问题发挥了重要作用。解决新疆问题政治重于军事,积极开展联系并团结新疆上层爱国民主人士、团结中下层各族群众的统战工作对于新疆的和平解放意义重大。通过对毛泽东关于新疆统战工作相关文献资料的筛选整理,回顾毛泽东谋划新疆统战工作的历史背景,总结毛泽东对新疆统战工作作出历史贡献的有益经验,对当前新疆统战工作的开展具有一定的启示与借鉴意义。

The peaceful liberation of Xinjiang is a major event in the history of the Communist Party of China,which marks the beginning of the modern society in Xinjiang.With the end of the People's Liberation War,solving the problem of Xinjiang has been put on the agenda.At that time,Mao Zedong,the leader of the CPC Central Committee,judged the situation and put forward the policy of peaceful liberation of Xinjiang.He did a lot of work for the peaceful liberation of Xinjiang,including the United Front Work in Xinjiang,which played an important role in the peaceful settlement of the Xinjiang problem.It is of great significance for the peaceful liberation of Xinjiang to actively carry out the United Front Work for the upper class patriots and democracies in Xinjiang and unite the masses of the middle and lower classes.This paper reviews the historical background of Mao Zedong's plan for the United Front Work in Xinjiang by sorting out the relevant literature of Mao Zedong on the United Front Work in Xinjiang,points out Mao Zedong's historical contribution to the United Front Work in Xinjiang,and puts forward Mao Zedong's realistic enlightenment and reference experience for the United front work in Xinjiang during the period of peaceful liberation of Xinjiang.
